Mufti Utomo is a business professional with more than 23 years of experience in investment, finance, and management consulting across global and regional institutions. His career spans strategic advisory, private equity, capital markets, and corporate development.
He was appointed as Director of the Company pursuant to the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders dated 7 December 2023. As the Company’s Chief Investment Officer, Mufti oversees investment strategy, capital deployment, and M&A execution, ensuring alignment with the Company’s long-term transformation agenda.
Mufti’s professional background includes roles at McKinsey & Company, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Pantheon Ventures, Headland Capital Partners, and Lynx Asia Partners. These roles provided extensive exposure to cross-border transactions, portfolio management, and financial restructuring. Within the Company, he previously served as Head of M&A and Corporate Finance, where he contributed to strategic transactions and capital market activities. He also served as a member of the Board of Commissioners at PT Pertamina Hulu Energi from 2021 to 2023.
He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung and earned his Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, USA. His academic background and industry experience reflect strong capabilities in analytical decision-making, investment evaluation, and strategic negotiation.
He has no affiliation with other members of the Board of Directors, members of the Board of Commissioners, nor with the major and controlling shareholders.
