Expanding renewable projects nationwide

renewable-energy-header

In recent years, TBS has strategically expanded into renewable energy by actively exploring and developing various renewable power projects:

Mini Hydro Power Plant in Sumberjaya, Lampung

In 2020, through its subsidiary PT Toba Bara Energi (TBAE), TBS strengthened its renewable portfolio by acquiring PT Adimitra Energi Hidro (AEH), developer of a 2x3 MW Mini Hydro Power Plant (PLTM) in Lampung Province, and PT Bayu Alam Sejahtera (BAS), exploring wind power opportunities in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

AEH successfully achieved its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on January 22, 2025, contributing 6 MW of clean energy to the Sumbagsel region.

Hydropower provides stable and sustainable energy output that complements intermittent sources like solar and wind. Projects like AEH not only supply clean power but also deliver benefits for local communities through infrastructure development, improved electricity access, and environmental conservation.

Floating Solar PV Power Plant in Tembesi, Batam:

2024: Financial Closing completed

2026: Targeted for full commercial operation and integration into the national power grid

The Tembesi floating solar plant is expected to deliver wider social benefits, including reduced carbon emissions, improved local air quality, and the creation of new green jobs. The project also encourages technology transfer and collaboration with local communities, helping strengthen Batam’s sustainable development and resilience for the long term.
